Bullying! How would you punish your child?

My 14 year old, has been caught bullying in the school grounds. Whilst he admits to the crime, and whilst he is prepared to apologise and do the time for it, he refuses to see that he has done anything wrong. From what i understand from him, he seems to think that everyone is bullied at school in one way or another and it’s okay to pass it on. I can’t seem to get through to him how wrong it is. Anyone have any suggestions?
Lovemybaby!!… I hear you and i agree very much, but i just have to get a little deffensive on my choice of words which are uncalled for ..”crime” and “do time”.

To a 14 year old.. having had a 3 day school suspension and doing yard duty for another week is in our books doing time. and Yes I consider the act of bullying very much a crime.

Bullying has been around since the beginning of time and is necessary. How are kids going to learn to not be dorks. Also it keeps underwear companies in business.
