Why Are So Many Children Hyperactive and What to Do About It
If you are wondering why are so many children hyperactive, you are not alone. Although persistent development disorders are on the rise, it seems like hyperactivity which is a symptom of Adhd has also increased dramatically in recent years. In this article we will look at possible reasons why and what parents can do to calm overexcited, agitated kids.
When you start asking questions like why are so many children hyperactive, you have to look at childhood itself. By their nature, some kids have difficulty staying still. These kids are always on the go from the moment that they wake up until the moment they drift off to sleep. Although hyperactivity is more often seen in boys, it is not gender specific: girls can have it too.
Although it may take a professional to determine if your child’s hyperactivity is just a normal phase of childhood or a symptom of ADHD, there are some things that will clue you in. First, the frequency of this behavior is a tell. If the behavior has persisted for a couple of months and causes disruptions at home and in school, then it may be something that you want to take a closer look at. Of course, before you go to a professional, there are some things that you can try that may help reduce hyperactivity, so you can see if it still warrants going to the doctor.
Recently, in the media, there was an article that asked why are so many children hyperactive and tied this constant motion to chemicals found in pesticides that are sprayed on fruit and other produce. As more and more of our produce is treated with chemicals, they can’t help but affect our children, whose systems are much more sensitive that ours and less tolerant of these chemicals. Although the scientists claimed that you could wash the produce and remove the chemical residue, if the skin of a strawberry is anything like the skin of a human, it absorbs at least some of the pesticide residue. The answer here is to try organic produce for a couple months or so and see if it improves your child’s symptoms.
Of course there are other possible answers to the question; why are so many children hyperactive. Another possibility is the chemicals in packaged foods. Have you ever read the list of ingredients on some of these snack foods that most parents buy their kids without a second thought? These foods are full of dyes, preservatives, unhealthy fats and long chemical names that are difficult to pronounce. And then on top of that, there’s all the sugar which makes these fake foods taste super sweet. As every parent knows, sugar can fuel hyperactive behavior.
While it is helpful to remove packaged sugary foods from your child’s diet and replace them with lean meats, whole grains and organic produce, another important step is to give your child a natural remedy to undo the damage that constant hyperactivity causes to the brain. These proven natural remedies contain all natural ingredients that soothe the nervous system, reducing hyperactivity and creating a calm, relaxed focus.
Since they can take a couple of weeks to build up in the system, be patient, while they work to restore proper function to the brain. Before you know it, you’ll learn that a good diet and a natural remedy formulated specifically to treat the need for constant motion will mean that you are no longer asking why are so many children hyperactive and can be happy that you took the time to do some research and help your child get back on track.
